COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH SOFTBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Greg Heydet, Sr (3^rd year)

Assistant coach:  Steve Bitting (3^rd year)

Last year’s record:  9-11 overall, 4-10 SOL

Notable losses:  Katelyn Gaudet – second base, Jackie Schneider – catcher (Neumann University), Amanda Sharp – first base/pitcher (Widener University)

Key returners:  Mikayla Becker, Sr. (Outfield), Delores Bowers, Sr. (Outfield), Phylicia Wilkov, Jr. (Shortstop), Melanie Wilkinson, Jr., (third base), Stephanie Andreoli, Jr. (Pitcher/Outfield)

Outlook:  “With some varsity experience returning from last year, we hope that Sabrina Dobron, junior catcher, and Makenna Diamond, sophomore utility, will add punch to our team. We feel our strengths are hitting and defense. Pitching will have to prove itself. Seniors Julie Keegan and Lauren Kropp will be helping Andreoli in making an impact on the mound while both will see action at first base.
“We have a great chemistry this year, which is aided by a new student from Virginia. Junior Emily Freed is a nice addition to our team. I truly enjoy the atmosphere and chemistry on the field. Now it’s up to the players.”
