Coach: Duncan Swezey (1st after assisting the boys’ program for close to 10 years)
Assistant coach: Gibby Stitz (played at West Chester)
Last year’s record: 7-2 SOL, 13-5 overall
Notable losses: Lauren Purvis, All-American attack (Penn State), Sarah Tustin, All-League (Vanderbilt)
Key returners: Hanna Vogel (Sr., Defense), Cortnee Daley (Jr., Center Mid), Nicole Beck (Jr., Attack), Juliei McKay (Jr., Midfield), Lizzy Carr (Attack), Caroline Hagan (Jr., Defense Wing)
Others to watch: A lot of freshmen may contribute, including Rachel Rauza, Jane Henri, Maria Guerra, katy McKay and Annett Disipio
Strengths: “The girls are very close and many have played together on summer travel teams.”
Question marks: “We are very young as we will probably start five juniors, five freshmen and one senior.”
Outlook: “We have a solid base to build on. The coaching staff is working at creating a positive environment to learn, practice and play at a high a rate as possible. The team concept is program, team, and then individual. If we get the small things right, the rest will follow.”
