NESHAMINY BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Assistant coaches: Jesse Marshall (5th year), Brent Jamison (4th year), and Jack Blanker (2nd year)

Last year’s record: Overall 12-9, SOL National 6-8

Notable losses: Dan Berzin

Key returners:
Nursultan Kadyrbekov (SR Opposite)
El-Mansur Sagaliev (SR Setter)
Beknazar Baiyshbekov (SR Outside)
Nurislam Urkunbaev (JR Outside)

Others to watch:
Vraj Amin (SR Libero)
Max Currie (SR Middle)
Christian Kania (JR Middle)
Ryan MacMullen (JR Libero)
Daniel Zhanybaev (JR Outside)
Arlan Zharassov (SR Middle)

Strengths: “We return the core our Varsity team, only losing two seniors from last year. This group has played together now for a few years so chemistry should not be an issue. Tons of depth across the board. Athletic group that will hustle for every point”.

Question Marks: “Consistency with our blocking, defense, and the hunger to be the best. If we can accomplish everything we are working on in practice and bring that over to our games, we will be solid.”

Outlook: “We have a core group of talented upperclassmen that we will lean heavily on to steer us in the right direction this year. They have shown immense growth this offseason.  With a plethora of juniors vying in the mix that should help us be competitive in the league. We are aiming to try and get back on top of the SOL National Conference, compete for the District One title and return to the PIAA state playoffs.”
