NORTH PENN GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coach:Maggie deMarteleire, 6th season

Assistant Coaches:  Lauren Budweg, 6th season, Dara Nelson, 1st

Last year's record: 11-3 SOL, 21-7 overall, advanced to District One AAAA final

Notable losses:  Steph Knauer - basketball/Shippensburg and Brenda McDermott - lacrosse/Temple

Key Returners:  Lauren Crisler, 12, G/F/C, Erin Maher, 11, G/F, Vicky Tumasz, 11, G

Others to watch:  Tehya Daneker, 12, F, Mikaela Giuliani, 9, F/C, Leiana Dean, 10, G, Jackie Bilotti, 10, G

Strengths: Depth, speed, versatility, aggressive defense, attack offensively                               

Question marks:  Rebounding

Outlook:  We are very excited for this season. Our number one goal is to place better in the league than we did last year. Also, we had a great experience at Villanova last year, and returning there is a top priority.

2
