NORTH PENN GIRLS’ SOCCER PREVIEW

Coach:  Steve Whitby – 2nd year Varsity Head Coach

Assistant coaches: Rory Burns, Casey Hagan, Andrew Schmitz, Mark Klemmer and Michael Rio

Last year’s record:  6-9-1 overall, highlights were beating undefeated Upper Dublin & 2016 State Finalist CB South

Notable losses:  Isabelle Hughes, team captain - playing at Neumann College.

Key returners: Ashley Schmidt- Keeper, grade 12. Emma Dickson - Defender grade 12.  Liv Jerome – Midfield, grade 12. Grace Sacchetti - Attack, grade 11, Casey Cavanaugh –Defender, grade 11.

Others to watch:  Transfer student Lauren Ruth- senior forward, Transfer student senior forward Sophia Broadhurst. 

Outlook:  “We hope to build on last year’s foundation and carry that growth and development into the program’s second year, looking forward to knocking shoulders and aiming to make a significant impact on one of the toughest divisions in the state.”
