Strengths:   Strengths this year are the returning starters we brought back to our lineup in Matt Atchley, Joey Santora, Ryan Hass, and Ashton McCloskey. Senior pitcher Patrick Mill appeared in 7 games last season and threw well overall.

Question marks: Definitely our starting pitching. We are looking at Kyle Watson, and Matt Gunning to shoulder the starting pitching load.

Outlook: “We have a small group of players with varsity experience and will be counting on underclassmen and newcomer upperclassmen to fill spots in our lineup. Matt Atchley made an impact in the league last year and has already started over 30 varsity games before he steps foot on the field for his upcoming junior season. Joey Santora is one of the smartest, toughest, catchers I’ve coached at the high school level, and he will be back to anchor our defensive unit. Ashton McCloskey is another three-year starter that is poised to have a very good season. Ryan Hass returns this season at first base after garnering all-league second team. Patrick Mill will be looked at to pitch in close games for us along with Garrett Navitsky who is also playing infield. Nick Leight, Aiden Foor, John Moyer, and Hunter Burdick are expected to help us out in the infield and outfield. There is a good group of sophomores and freshmen led by James Embert, Zach Swanson, and Andrew Rendler from the ophomore class, and Noah Keating, Ryder Olson, and Tommy Ginnetti from the freshman class.”
