Strengths: Our well-seasoned Defensive unit returning all starters and subs. A lot of experience and chemistry on the D end and depth off the bench.
Dynamic offensive play. Great chemistry and flow with the returning unit. We have 3 returning starters on attack and a lot of young blood that is working well with the group.
Question marks: Our goalie situation has been up on the air all pre-season. Our returning Sr. Goalie Anjali Verma has medically retired from lacrosse due to severe concussions. We will be moving to a new goalie this season.
Who will be our go to player? Losing Ava Fantaskey and Kate Unzicker is a big loss. They were the top players of the team last season and alot of the offense and midfield relied on them. Who will step up this year into this much needed role and put the team on their back in tight situations?
Outlook: “Our team this year is hungry and has their sights set on another league title. The conference looks a lot different this year, and there is some steep competition ahead. We are focused on one thing, us. We have a large senior class that we will be graduating, and they are eager to leave a huge mark on the program and specifically this season. There are games that have been circled on the calendar for months, and we are ready to battle on the field for the win. We have set huge goals for the season looking ahead to overall record, league wins, and potential playoff victories, but we remain focused on what is directly in front of us. Being present in the moment and focused on the right here, right now. Finding a way to win, digging deeper than we ever have, and doing it every time we are on that field.”
