Pennridge Girls' Volleyball Preview

PENNRIDGE GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW

Head coach:  Brandon Johnson (5th year)

Last year’s record:  20-4 overall, second round playoff loss, 16-2 SOL

Notable losses: Katherine DeYesso (1st team all conference libero) / Kara Allelunas (1st team all conference setter) / Senior Setter- Claudia Jalosinski (health)

Key returners: Isabella Cooper (senior Outside Hitter), Lydia Stutzman (senior outside hitter), Allison Saalfrank (Junior Setter), Rileigh Bowen (senior Libero), Julia Post (Senior Middle Blocker)

Others to watch: Morgan Leo (Senior Outside Hitter), Stella Bultje (Senior Middle Blocker)

Outlook: “The Rams head into 2020 dealing with a rash of injuries and are hoping to recover in time to compete with their new look conference opponents.  With a host of returning seniors, the team is hoping to repeat another year of solid team performances.  Pennridge has nine returning seniors who will all have a major impact on the season.  If the Rams can continue another year of team volleyball, they should be able to compete well in the shortened 2020 season.  Having lost incoming senior setter Claudia Jalosinski, the team will rely on a team effort to run the offense with the hopes of repeating the performance of the previous season.”
