Strengths – All five starters have a tremendous amount of varsity experience to go along with their talent and work ethic. Team is incredibly athletic, long, and has worked hard to improve their individual games in the off-season.
Question Marks – “We not only lost a 1,000-point scorer (McTamney) but tremendous leadership and comradery with graduation of the 2021 class. This year’s group are all leaders but will need to find their own way, own voice if our team is to reach our ultimate goals. We also will have some new faces coming in off the bench, so getting them as much playing experience as possible early in the season will be key to them playing a more important role during the second half of the year.”
Outlook: “Our goals for this season are to attempt to win the Liberty Division within the Suburban One League and make a run at the SOL, District, and State Championships. Our returning players have the experience and talent to be elite, and our new rotation players have the right mentality for us to be a well-balanced team. This team is used to playing with the expectation of being the best and knowing that each time they take the floor they are going to get the other team’s best shot. We are challenging ourselves with a very difficult non-conference schedule in hopes that we can draw from that experience in February and March. Most important of all, we are looking forward to getting to play a full season, have our family and friends be able to see us play, and enjoy our time together.”
