Strengths/Question Marks: “We are rebuilding defensively with a new backline (aside from senior and four-year starter Katie Lukens) and a new goalkeeper (Olivia Bragg, 11) which is a big change from the past three seasons. A lot of hard work and focus will be needed from that group to keep the standard high. We return much of our midfield and attacking players from last year, so we expect improvements in that area of the field.”
Outlook: “Last season, we had a clear team goal on Day 1 and achieved that goal. This should be a different PW Girls Soccer team than in years past – hopefully not less successful than last year but different. So, while we’re not ready to set a team goal on Day 1, what we will do is play to our strengths and continue to shore up the areas that need improvement.”
