PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH GIRLS’ LACROSSE PREVIEW 

Coach: Ellen K. Reilly, 34 years 

Assistant coaches: Charmaze Banks, Rita Trainer 

 Last year’s record: SOL American Division 8-3, Overall, 15-5, Beat Council Rock South in first round of districts and lost to Pennridge in second round of districts. 

Notable losses: Olivia Eaton playing at Swarthmore, Brianna Reynolds playing at Iona, Meghan Wendler playing at Manhattan 

Key returners:  Attack, Sophia Gartland 12th, Attack, Olivia Reilly 12th, Attack, Katie Lukens 12th, Defense, Gianna Clark 12th, Defense, Maite Jayo 11th, Midfield, Kaiane Jayo 11th, Defense, Keira Whelan 11th Defense, Addi Stein 11th goalie. 

Outlook:  “The team has been focused and working hard.  We have experienced players returning from last year.  We have some younger players who played some varsity last year who are starting to show potential and some skilled new freshmen.  It’s exciting to see their abilities.  Now they need to put it together on the field.”
