Strengths: “Our strengths will be pitching, fielding and hitting going into this season. The question mark will be our consistency. We have a solid number of young players, and their ability to do their job in the moment will be the key to our success. Another strength is our senior leadership. Adam Overton, Sam Frezel, Jacob Womelsdorf and Sean Curran have been fantastic senior captains and have provided the leadership the team needed to be ready at the beginning of the season and we'll be relying on it when we get back to it (hopefully).”
Outlook: “The toughest part about all of this is that we have no control over anything. There is no forecast or radar to watch, no expert telling us when this is all going to be over, let alone a return to play date to prepare for. With luck, however, our season is still a go, and we will be ready to challenge an extremely tough SOL American Conference. Our seniors are few but they are essential to our success. Senior Sean Curran (Widener University Commit) and Junior Karan Acharya were our two starters in 2019 that helped us get back in the District One playoffs for the fifth time in the last nine seasons. Along with a group of electric juniors and sophomores, we are really excited to see how far our staff can take us in 2020. We have a number of team goals (offensive and defensive) that revolve around opportunity. How we execute and if we do our job on every pitch, we're going to end up in a good spot at the end. Until we get through this mess, our coaches and players are all working while they wait and we'll continue to look out the window, waiting for baseball season to start.”
