Cheltenham vs. Hatboro-Horsham

The Hatboro-Horsham Hatters scored five runs over the last two innings to secure an 8-5 win over the host, Cheltenham Panthers.

Entering the top of the 6th, the Hatters were down 5-3. Junior 1B Benny Wilson led off with a single and pinch runner Ethan Ridgway entered the game. Bradan Mallon followed with an RBI double and advanced to third on an error. Junior DH Lucas Walker scored Mallon to tie the game at 5-5.

Wilson then moved to the mound and retired the side in order in the bottom of the 6th. Senior 3B Sean Gledhill led off the 7th inning with a walk and promptly stole second. Jake Bianchini followed with a bunt single and then stole second to set up second and third with nobody out for sophomore CF Jimmy Tooley. Tooley came through with a game winning RBI single that scored both Gledhill and Bianchini. Tooley then scored on an error to give the Hatters all the runs they would need.

Wilson shut the door with another 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the 7th.

Junior 2B Bradan Mallon led the offense, going 2-4 with 2 doubles.

The win moved the Hatters to 12-5 overall and 9-3 in the SOL American Conference. The Hatters will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Abington.
