The Hatters pulled out yet another win in the 6 inning or later with a 5-4 win over Nazareth at Parkland High School. The Hatters now have 4 post-season wins, all of which they have taken the lead in the 6th or 7th inning.
The Hatters jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on RBI sac flies by Chris Hens and Grant Opalisky and Casey Saverio scored on a throwing error. The Blue Eagles tied the game up with 3 unearned runs in the 3rd inning and then took at 4-3 lead in the 5th inning.
The Hatters tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the 6th inning when Grant Opalisky and Casey Saverio pulled off a double steal that scored Saverio.
HH took the lead in the top of the 7th inning when Zach Crim walked and advanced to 3rd on Tyler Zingle's double. After Conner Crookham was hit by a pitch, senior Casey Saverio recorded his 4th hit of the game and scored Crim.
Senior Casey O'Donnell closed it out in the 7th inning. O'Donnell pitched a complete game 5-hitter striking out 11 in the process.
The Hatters will next face Wyoming Valley West at 12 pm on Thursday at Parkland High School.
