Souderton Boys Varsity Baseball have won 7 out of their last 8, handily beating both Bensalem and CB West in a rare double-header. Starting pitchers Austin Kreyenhagen, and Jeremy Fallon were both dominant while relievers Greyson Norris and Tyler Lutz left no room for a come-from-behind win for either team. Joey Nase and Austin Kreyenhagen each had a solo home-run against Bensalem, while Austin struck out 11 allowing no walks. After being no-hit earlier this season, CB west did manage 2 runs on 3 hits this time but Souderton’s 5 runs on 8 hits had them in the lead from the 2nd inning onward. As with last season, there were some scoring droughts, but the team has come together just in time for playoffs. The team has not been blown out in any in-league matchup. 6 of their 7 in-league losses were by just 1 run.
Souderton’s next game is a non-league match at home against Christopher Dock High School, scheduled for Wednesday, May 15th. Graduating seniors will be recognized before the game.
