“Really proud of the girls, four the fourth game in a row we defended pretty well, individually, but more so collectively as a group, we were dialed into the scout and their personnel. Carley Irvin did a fantastic job on Hailey Keenan. There are a lot of really good players in our division, I do not know if you can list 5 before getting to her. And Carley did a great job
On her individually and the other girls did a good job on screens and collapsing off of other girls. Our defense was really good and we rebounded the ball well. We are still learning how to close some games out, and no matter how much you try it in practice, it really only comes through game experience and wins. Montanna and Nicole hit some free throws late. We hit a little wall in the fourth and Montanna made a great pass to Jenna on a back door cut to get us back up 12 or so which was needed at that point. Bensalem beat us by double digits two times last year and continued that in off-season so from a competitive standpoint, I am very proud of our group. I challenged them to be the tougher team and dominate the glass, I think we did both. Nicole has another strong game, they X’d her and I think she let the game come to her, made some hustle plays shot fouls late. Jenna played a great all around game and did a good job communicating down the stretch. Hannah was aggressive again in the backboard and Ryann and Kim again gave us good minutes off the bench. Ryann was good on the glass as was Kim and Kim did a good job of using her speed and athleticism to disrupt them. When we play collectively and together on both ends of the court, the last few games have shown some growth and a glimpse of what we are capable of. I told the girls to enjoy the win, and be ready to Go tomorrow at Pennridge.”
