Tonight we just got beat by a better team. When we were putting together our game plan, we knew it would be a Pick Your Poison situation so we told the girls that we would have to change defenses to try to keep them a little off balance. Turns out it didn't matter. Knowing that we could not match their speed on the perimeter, we decided to play our zone and try to get out on their shooters. That worked for about the first four minutes, once they warmed up they made 3 consecutive 3's including an NBA range 3 by Crencik. Once we went man defense, D'agostino pretty much got into the lane at will. Even when we would roll our help defense towards her, she found an open teammate who would get a good look at the net. ,

On our end, other than getting beat in transition a few times, I can't say that we played poorly, they are just ahead of us. New Hope had a good game plan. We had a tough time with their length and speed on the perimeter. We were happy to see Liz Neeld get back on track offensively (12 points) and freshmen Alexis MacPhee continues to impress us with her poise and decision making.
