Both New Hope Solebury and Council Rock like to get up and down the court as much as possible and that was on full display Saturday afternoon as Council Rock South outlasted the Lions 74-70 in New Hope.

The game began with the teams trading back-to-back nine-point runs by each team and the track meet continued from there with Council Rock took a 41-39 lead into the halftime intermission.

Led by Reagan Chrencik’s team -high 21 points the Lions overcame the deficit and took the lead late in the third, but hot shooting by Gregory help Council Rock seize the lead for good late in the fourth quarter.

“Coach Klump,s team does a great job diving and kicking,” New Hope coach Steve Polinsky said. “It was a really fun game to be a part of.”

In addiction to Chernick,s 21, Madi Fasti had 16 points and Izzy Elizondo finished with 17.

“Despite the loss I was really happy with our pace today.” Polinsky said. “ To score over 70 points in three of our last four is where we want be offensively.”
