Abby Sharpe scored 8 of her game high 20 in the second quarter to give PW a 25 – 18 lead at halftime. Kaitlyn Flanagan scored 8 of her 14 in the second half, Erin Daley had 7 of her 9 in the second half including a clutch 3 during a 17 – 6 third quarter that put PW on top for good. Erin Daley also held Perk Valley center Quinn Boettinger to one made basket in the second half. Lainey Allen was then able to play some off the ball help defense and help get the Colonials into transition. Story of the night was senior Fiona Gooneratne playing 32 minutes in place of Jordyn Thomas (illness). Angelina Balcer also contributed important minutes off the bench to help the team earn its first final four appearance since 1985. PW will play Cedar Cliff on Friday night, time and location are still TBD.
