1st Q: LM 0 - 2 A

OT: 4-4
LM came out strong and dominated for the first seven to eight minutes. Then Abington had some energy. The ball dropped quickly @ the 10 minute mark and they were in the board. Their second goal happed fairly quickly three minutes later in much the same fashion.
JR Meredith Lutter got us on the board with an assist from SR Taryn Mayer in the 2nd Q. At least we were on the board. Getting the first usually settles us and gets us moving in the right direction.
The 3rd Q wasn’t pretty as we were down with our biggest deficit of the game. We couldn’t buy a goal.
But the 4th Q gave us life! SR Taryn Mayer scores 3 unassisted goals in 5 minutes to even the score and take us into our first OT of the season.

Abington saw one slip away today as Lower Moreland was able to score 3 goals in the final quarter to tie the game. Overtime was evenly matched with both teams having opportunities. Abington saw great play from Stewart, Lowery and Doughtery today. With the tie Abington just misses Districts.
This year has been a success though in so many ways. Our seniors really stepped up this year and led this team through uncertain times. In the end they came out better players and more important better teammates and ready to tackle whatever the rest of the year may throw at them.
