Abington tied Pennsbury 1-1 despite a nail biting overtime. Abington scored first at the 26:10 mark in the first half off a passing series from the Ghosts offense. Katherine Geating is credited with the assist while Noelle Rao scored her first goal of the season. The Falcons battled back earning six offensive corners but the half ended with a Ghost lead. At 17:15 in the second half off a Christie Stango goal after a battle in front of the cage.
In overtime, the play was back and forth with tremendous effort on both sides. Cate Hughes and Maddie Jones were key to the Ghosts’ defense as well as standout goalie Faith Geating with 19 saves on the day.
