What a beautiful day in Northeast Philly. And what a beautiful way for Coach Gary Kubik to come back to his Alma Mater , Archbishop Ryan High School, and get a big win. Ava Hood started the scoring off in the first few minutes of the game with a short flick just inside the near post. It was Ava's 2nd goal of the year. Freshman Kylie Blank, starting her first varsity game, and filling in for the concussed Haley Groves, had herself a day. Kylie scored with just 4:40 remaining in the 2nd quarter with an assist from Paige Schiefer. That goal gave the visiting Owls just a 2-0 lead going into halftime. However, the Owls exploded in the 3rd quarter with 4 goals. The 3rd quarter started off with an unassisted goal from Giuliana Pasquarella at the 2:15 mark. That was followed by another goal by Blank at the four minute mark. Pasquarella then added her 2nd and 3rd goals, at 5:36 and 8:48 respectively, to complete her second hat trick in the last five games. That was 3 goals in the 3rd quarter for Giuliana Pasquarella to give her the team lead with eight. Then, not to be outdone, freshman Kylie Blank finished off her first ever Varsity hat trick by scoring at the three minute mark of the 4th quarter. Kylie Blank, welcome to High School Hockey! The game finished 7-0 in favor of the Bensalem Owls. The midfield and the defense were on point today along with goaltenders Emily Adams and Brianna Swanson.
