It was a Giuliana Pasquarella kind of day. On the day that phillyburbs.com runs a poll to see who the top field hockey player in Bucks County is, Giuls scores her first hat trick of the year. All of the goals were unassisted but she had plenty of help from her friends. On the first goal she took the ball around the 25 yard mark and drove down the left side for about a 10 foot flick into the back of the cage at the 7:45 mark of the second quarter. The second goal was a backhand from about 10 foot out to beat the Truman goaltender, Diandranique Modeste, with 8:07 left in the third quarter. Modeste played a fantastic game today for Truman stopping many shots from close range. Pasquarella's third goal was a rocket from just inside the circle. Pasquarella had the ball on the left side of the circle, made one quick pull, and unleashed her shot right from the top. It was her, and her team's, third and final goal of the day. Her teammates played a big role today as well by both spreading out the field and collapsing on the Truman offense. Great offensive runs today, in particular, by sophomore Mollie Reilly and midfielder Keana Rodriguez. The Bensalem Goalkeepers , Emily Adams, Brianna Swanson, and freshman goalie Hailey Fricke all played a part in the shutout.
Truman , under new coach, Coach Compton, did a great job in playing the full sixty minutes and never relented. Her daughter and center back , Mackensie Compton, played a big part in slowing down the Owl offense.
