Bensalem Comments
I'm about as happy as I could be with a 6-0 loss. Bensalem played the 4th ranked PIAA team to a scoreless first quarter and then another 7 minutes into the second. That's 22 scoreless minutes against a team that will challenge in the playoffs this year. That's what we focused on after the game. We actually had chances to put goals away while it was 0-0 and couldn't finish. I'm also excited about the whole first half, while Neshaminy was able to find the back of the cage twice before halftime, Bensalem held them to a 2-0 lead until the third quarter. I'm very proud of them today, especially that first half. That first half was, defensively, very good for our confidence as we contained, as much as possible, that very high-powered offense of Neshaminy. Offensively, like I said, we had our chances and have to learn how to finish. But, the ball movement through the middle of the field was there today in spurts, and we just have to get more consistent with that.
