It wasn’t easy. School rivalries are always tough games to play. A lot of players know each other which can make it a bit awkward. East has a really strong defense and we had to figure out how to get in behind them. Once our offense started to rattle them we were able to get into their circle. We are really starting to find each other on the field and finding space to run onto the ball. Great play by the midfield today (Avery Tyler, Tessa Walls, Jenna Butler and Ella Marchesi)sending the ball up to the forwards (Kaeli VanDerSluis, Carrie Williams, Amy Hazell and Addy Edwards) who got things moving. We will continue to practice hard and prepare for some tough opponents next week.
