Despite being heavily marked, CB South's Erin Smith scored both goals today in a stellar offensive performance. The first goal came at 8:30 P2 and the second came on an Anna Shirley assist less than a minute later. Council Rock South played excellent defense and GK, Peyton Wright was very strong making 19 saves on 21 shots. CB South's defense was equally strong allowing CR South's speedy offense only 2 shots on goal

Pat Toner: I'm so proud of our girls for bouncing back from a loss and playing well against the league-leading CR South. Our passing was very strong today and our receptions were much cleaner. While Anna Shirley, Erin Smith and Julia Cooper were being marked, the rest of the team stepped up. Junior, Rebecca Zakrzewski played very well as did Lily and Grace Haag, Sarah Cooper, Marielle Mauri, Meg Reilly and Bella Schute. Emma Kraft recorded her 8th shutout.

On a personal note, I stood on the sideline next to CR South's Colette Paprocki who took over for Lisa Belz. I had the privilege of coaching both Lisa and Colette while at Council Rock and I am so impressed with the amazing job both of them have done. Not only are they both excellent coaches, but they are excellent role models for the many CR players who get the chance to play for them. Congrats to both teams on a hard-fought game!
