CB South’s defense and goalie had a great day making it challenging for NP to put one in as they turned away many scoring opportunities. North Penn persevered and it took the final quarter to put one on the board. Sophomore Devon Crowley found Junior Paige Shearer in the middle of the circle and Paige lifted it past CB South’s goalie. The second goal came in the final second on a penalty corner (Senior Laura Albert with the straight shot and Kylie Barwis with the insert and assist). “It was a team effort today as we required fresh legs so we were happy that our bench was ready to go and played well. Junior Kiley Moister was steady in goal and our defense (Junior Tallie Smink, Senior Kirstyn Schoppe and Sophomore Lily Brown) were able to record the first shutout.”
