West won our Senior Game 6-2 vs NP.
Sr. Virginia Moore scored just 4 minutes into the game [Sr. H. Zezzo assist]. NP tied it up 1-1 on a Shannon Talbot goal. West took the lead, 2-1, with a goal 11 minutes into the first half by a shot off a CBWest penalty corner by Jr. Elena Romesburg [Sr. H.Zezzo assist]. Game then was tied up [2-2] after a penalty stroke was awarded to NP and scored on by NP's S. Talbot. West scored two more goals in the first half, 3rd goal by Sr. V. Moore and 4th goal also by V. Moore [Soph. K. Hitchcock assist.
Half time score was 4-2.
West scored two more goals in the second half. 5th goal was by Jr. Kate Varallo [Jr. E.Fiorelli assist] and the 6th goal was a BEAUTIFUL shot taken as a result of a penalty corner by Sr. V.Moore [Sr. H.Zezzo assist]
West played a great passing and possession game. All 7 seniors [Arden Hawes, Virginia Moore, Victoria Mettin, Mia Ciliberto, Mackenzie Gallagher, Courtney Kauffman and Heather Zezzo] played an impeccable game and started and finished strong.
Sr. Virginia Moore had 4 of the 6 goals. Sr. Heather Zezzo had 3 assists. Very strong defensive play by Soph. Carson LeGreca and Sr. Mackenzie Gallagher. Great offensive game for Sr. V. Moore, Jr. Erick Fiorelli, Jr. E. Romesburg, Jr. K. Varallo and Jr. M. Shields.
A total team effort. B-e-a-utiful game and a big win for this West team.
