Pennridge: 2 Penalty corners, 1 shot on goal, 12 GK saves

It was a beautiful night for our home and league opener. We had very nice passing combinations all over the field and played as a cohesive unit. Our dynamic offense saw impressive contributions from sophomores Claire Demmer and Lucy Smith and junior Ellie Tweddale. Our defense was solid with key stops by juniors Margot Trask and Heidi Schoenleber and senior Eve Damsker. Pennridge's defense did a nice job of stopping many threatening moments and the team as a whole never gave up and fought the entire game. We look forward to our next game Friday against a tough North Penn team.

West is a very fast and skilled team, filled with experience at the highest levels of PIAA Field Hockey. We look forward to building on tonight’s loss as we grow through this season and look forward to hosting the Bucks at home on Helman later this season."

--Props: “Huge props to Senior Goalie Charlotte Gozzard for making 13 saves against a high octane attack. Charlotte eclipsed 100 career saves tonight during the first quarter of the game. The whole team is very proud of her!"
