Bensalem Field Hockey defeated Conwell Egan 1-0 today. Chloe Masciantonio got her second goal of the year today off of a beautifully placed ball from Veronica Lennon. Lennon has two assists in the last three games, but has really raised her play in the last few weeks. She's dominating the middle of the field and making beautiful runs three or four times a game. She, along with Giuliana Pasquarella, have shored up their play in the middle, and are moving the ball well down the field.
I really thought we dominated the play today, the possession, and the chances, but we're still unable to finish in the circle. At each break I continually reminded them that we're a bad bounce or a bad call away from a tie game.
Fortunately, we were able to withstand any pressure from the Conwell Egan team and hold on for the victory. It was a very good defensive effort by the whole team today which led to our fifth shutout of the year.
