We played awesome in the first quarter but the exhausting week really showed as we fizzled out the rest of the game. It was definitely super physical but I’m proud of us for hanging tough.

Coach comment- I think it says a lot about a team who goes down 2-0 and fights back to force overtime. We came out flat in the first half but we were gaining momentum going into the third quarter. It was a physical game and we had to adjust to that style of play. As a coach, I am always proud when my team comes to battle and never gives up in a game.
Props- Sarah Freeman controlled the middle of the field for us. Newcomer Carly Conetta played strong defense and Sarah Lubaczewski was able to score for us which is what we have been looking for. Maria Freeman and Kelly Longmore produced the spark on offense for us while goalie Taylor Hume was solid in the cage.
