Lower Moreland Comments
Lower Moreland played their last regular season game today beating Hatboro-Horsham 4-1 to finish the season 9-8-1. We have worked hard all season and grew as a team finishing with a 3 game win streak. Mady Rossiter opened the scoring the first off a penalty corner. Kaitlyn Koshy scored the second goal after many attempts and rebounds off the goalie's pads. With only 23 seconds left Mia Torgan closed out the second quarter with a beauty of a goal. Her sister Cara (Torgan) dribbled her way through the circle to score the final goal with only 49 seconds left in the game. I was happy we were able to find the goal in the final seconds of each of the last two quarters. We've had too many times this season where we faded to end quarters which cost us too many times. Keeping that pressure until the buzzer sounds was a great way to go into the postseason. Ashley Avington has been a playmaker all season and today was no different assisting the first two goals of the game. We carry a large squad so being able to get all 25 players in the game today was nice. They have all worked so hard this season so being able to get everyone in is rewarding. We will graduate 9 amazing seniors who have been a part of our program for 4 years. They will all be missed next year, but we aren't finished yet. Lower Moreland will play next Tuesday in the first round of the postseason.
