Central Bucks East Comments
We didn't have much time to shift the focus with back to back games, but we knew coming in that North Penn was a strong, well-coached unit, who were going to be very tough to beat. Building on our teamwork and chemistry, we emphasized supporting each other with small, smart passing. North Penn was able to come out strong and get a goal right out of the gate, but I am incredibly proud of our team for never giving up. Our defensive unit, led by senior Kiera Lamb, held incredibly strong through all four quarters. Grace Manion had a few defensive saves that kept us in the game, and goalie Grace Gidwani was a brick wall with 13 saves. Paige Keller started the play for the overtime win with a long 80 yard carry and then a cross in to Caroline Suko who buried the ball in the back of the cage.
