This was a well-played, fast-paced game between two evenly matched teams. Both teams had beautiful corners and both teams played excellent defense. The first two goals scored were almost identical corner plays. In P1, North Penn's Kerry O'Donnell had a beautiful tip on a corner shot by Lindsey Gilbert. In P2 CB South's Sarah Cooper had a beautiful tip on a shot by her sister, Julia Cooper. Later in P2, CB South's Erin Smith fed a ball into the circle and Megan Reilly scored putting South up 2-1. In P4, North Penn's Riley O'Donnell scored two goals putting the Knights up 3-2. South's Erin Smith scored 47 seconds later making the score 3-3. That goal was Erin Smith's 21st goal and career point number 101. Congrats to Erin Smith on an amazing accomplishment! Congrats to both teams on a great game!

Notes: It was a back and forth matchup where CB South and North Penn exchanged goals in regulation and played a scoreless OT. North Penn maintained possession well in the first quarter but was only able to capitalize on one corner against a stingy and well played CB South defense ( the goal was a corner shot by Madison Walspurger with a tip on the post by Kerry O'Donnell) to go up 1-0. The second quarter was all CB South as they scored two go ahead goals, one on a similar corner to North Penn's first goal. The third quarter was scoreless and then the Knights came out strong in the fourth quarter with Riley O'Donnell putting in back to back to goals, one on a reverse hit at the top of the left side of the circle. CB South answered back 45 seconds later, scoring to bring the score back to a tie and that's how the game remained even with a Knights push at the end of regulation. Credit to CB South's defense for holding the Knights to 8 corners and not allowing many second and third opportunities off the pads by clearing the ball well out of the back field. Impressive game for reserve goalie, Mackenzie Czajkowski who came up big for the Knights. In addition, Annabelle Smink had a great game in the backfield, along with Kerry O'Donnell who played well in the midfield redefending in the transition. It was a great match up and had some playoff feel to it between two teams that are holding at the 9/10 seeds in the district.
North Penn record: 12-4-1
