Pat Toner: PW is a very fast, skilled and well-coached team. They controlled a great deal of the first half and we were able to play "bend, but don't break" defense. We gained some control in the second half and with 9:06 remaining in the game, Casey Reilly fed freshman, Anna Shirley a perfect ball on the post that Anna touched into the cage. The entire team maintained their composure against some very hard shots and managed to shut down PW's corners. With time running down, CB South's Maddie Pearce made several key tackles that helped us maintain possession of the ball and preserve the shutout. Jillian Heilig did an excellent job in goal. Congrats to both teams on a hard-fought game.
