Game Summary:
Charise Halteman – PW Head Coach
"PW came out strong in their first game of the season controlling possession, but Springfield's stingy defense in the first half made it a close game. Senior, Kennedy Reardon, was able to give PW a lead before halftime with a hard shot from the top of the circle. Freshman, Molly Lynch, would score the first goal of the second half and the first goal of her high school career off a strong one-time corner shot. Reardon added her second goal on a stroke made possible by the aggressive play of Ava Borkowski. Borkowski would add the fourth goal with seven minutes remaining in the game. Overall, the team played strong team defense under the senior leadership of Megan DiGiacomo and Jen Byrne."
