Pat Toner: While we never like to lose, I am extremely proud of our team today. As any sports season goes on, it becomes a game of chess trying to adjust to injuries and illnesses. This morning we found out that our captain and one of our top players and leaders had a high fever and was unable to play. We were forced to change our line-up, our offensive corners and our defensive corners and did so on the bus on the way to the game. The first half we played tentative as we struggled to adjust to our new line-up. The second half we played very well. We knew that Souderton had only given up 12 goals all season, but we also knew that 4 of them were to us, so we felt confident we could score. After giving up two goals in the first half, CB South's Casey Reilly buried a beautiful lifted shot on a feed from Megan Weeks to cut the score in half.
Congrats to both teams on a hard-fought game!
