Central Bucks West Comments
The Bucks truly came together in tonight's game vs Souderton. Their intensity, speed, and ability to connect passes was phenomenal, especially against the top team in their conference. Coach Ginny is extremely proud of this team's positive attitude, tenacity, and mental toughness, as well as the gradual yet remarkable improvement.
Goalkeeper Brooke Golbeski had an outstanding game in cage. Facing 17 quick & skilled Souderton shots and 15 penalty corners, her impressive reflexes kept us in the game all night.
Defense also did a terrific job at protecting our net. Together they made 5 defensive saves: Claire Engebreth made 2 while Maggie Whalen, Sara Lelii, and Claire Natoli each had 1. Their tackles and clears helped the team regain possession.
Middies Julia Bunch, Kendall Siegle, Carley Briece, JL, & Bryn Spoerl hustled to every ball and used their passing skills to connect the D to the forward line. They provided offensive opportunities and played smart and beautiful hockey.
Forwards Em Erickson, Grayce Reimel, Caroline Crecca, & Bella Aulisio did a great job advancing the ball beyond the 50 and doubling the amount of shots and penalty corners from the first time we played Souderton.
People are often quick to make assumptions about a team with a record like ours, but Coach Ginny recognizes- and is so incredibly proud of- the hard work, passion, and positive culture of this team... she, the staff, and the players know that adversity, scores, and records can't and won't bring us down.
