CB West pulled out a scrappy win versus Springford on Monday night. The score at halftime was tied 1-1. For most the second half it looked like whoever scored next would win the game, as it was back and forth with each team having periods of dominance.
Taylor Mason scored the go ahead goal with 2:25 left in the game off a breakaway transition sequence. Peyton Fischer was credited with 9 saves in the win. Springford earned a total of 10 corners, 2 in the first half and 8 in the second half. We earned a total of 4, 3 in the first half 1 in the second.
Anya DeAngelis had a good game as she was hustling all over the field, and had several near breakaways of her own. Fischer had some beautiful saves to keep Springford from finding the back of the cage again. West starts the 2nd half of league play with their game vs Tennent on Wednesday night.
