I am incredibly proud of the way this team played today. After giving up two goals in the 1st quarter we made some adjustments and were able to hold Springfield scoreless for the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Our girls fought hard the entire game. We were missing many of our normal starters today. I was impressed with the way some of our younger players stepped up. Eowyn Stainback and Kelly Bates both did an excellent job in their first Varsity game. Emma Hurley had a phenomenal game in goal (26 saves). Freshman, Kelly Bates, had two defensive saves.
