While the game did not end like wanted it to, our coaches are very proud of our team’s comeback. Despite the heat, our girls came alive in the 3rd quarter from a 3 goal deficit to score 3 goals and tie the game. It was so exciting to see them push themselves. They all gave 110 percent today.
The hardest part was when Wissahickon found the back of the cage with 10 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter to break the tie and get the win. Camilla Lutte had a beautiful reverse chip shot into the top right corner of the goal. Needless to say we were stunned.

Amy Hazell ignited that spark to get the team onto the scoreboard. Followed by another run from Hazell who sent the ball into the circle for Tessa Walls to score. Then minutes later, captain Erin Kelly carried the ball into the circle and drove a rocket into the back of the cage.
Great defensive play by captain Ella Haag, Avery Tyler, Kelly Hemsley and Sophia Kraft. Carrie Williams and Ella Marchesi held the middle together for us today. Our forwards, Kaeli VanDerSluis, Addy Edwards, Amy Hazell and Erin Kelly continued to push hard in getting the ball into the offensive circle. We will continue to work hard at practice and look forward to our next game.
