Coach comments:
We had a great start to the game converting on 2 corners (almost three but the 3rd was unfortunately called back) in the first quarter. I think this took some steam out of Wissahickon, who were able to rally with renewed spirit and fight in the second half and score goals. Our defense, specifically Eve Damsker, Heidi Schoenleber and Calista Boos, did a great job of diffusing Wissahickon opportunities, lead by Cami Lutte.

Our first half of the game today was a struggle. I am really proud of the adjustments we made for the second half, where we played more of our game and protected against West’s fast break. We were able to step to the ball and put goals in the net. Regan held our defensive end together with her consistent presence, strong stick, and a resolve that was unparalleled. Cami is an incredible player and wonderful facilitator for our attack. She brought energy and consistency to the midfield and attacking third. The impacts of both Regan and Cami are undeniable, both in terms of the game we’re developing and the team we’re becoming. We’ll take a lot of great lessons from today’s contest against CB West and become better from them.
