Highlights from last regular season game HH at Abington
Comments: Abington Lacrosse ends season with a big win. In a clash of neighboring rivals, Hatboro-Horsham Hatters traveled to Abington - Home of the Graveyard. Both Lacrosse teams had been playing well in the season - Hatter’s record 12-2 and the Ghost’s record 13-3 so expectations were high for a good match; however, good turned out to be GREAT! The game started with several goals from both teams in a seesaw battle until Abington went up 12-8 in the 4th quarter. Abington was feeling comfortable but the Hatters were not to be taken lightly. With less than two minutes to go, the Hatters scored in quick succession 4 goals to tie the game 12-12. With just a minute 28 left in the game the Ghost were penalized and the Hatters took advantage scoring yet another unanswered goal, 13- 12. With the game on the line and only 28 seconds remaining, Abington took the face off, rambled down toward the crease and scored, tie - 13 ALL. In overtime both teams tested each other until the Hatters succumbed to Abington again. Ghosts 14 Hatters 13 and the Abington sideline exploded onto the field as the Abington fans jumped to their feet to cheer their team’s win!
