The Pennsbury Falcons completed their regular season by defeating their hosts and Suburban One National rival Truman Tigers by a 15-3 score. The Falcons put up the best record in their eight year varsity history, with their previous best season records being 13-7 in 2006 and 2008. They now look to see where they will be seeded in the PIAA District 1 tournament, which will be determined on Sunday. Pennsbury made the District 1 playoffs for the first time last year, winning at home vs Sun Valley and then bowing to District 1 runner-up Downingtown East in the second round.
The Falcons cruised through the Truman game with the entire team getting significant playing time. Pennsbury got goals from 8 different players and 13 of the 15 goals were assisted. Pennsbury was led by freshman middie Collin Sullivan, who netted three goals. Also scoring for the Falcons were Mike Constantini (2g, 3a), Kyle Brennan (2g), Paul Mier (1g) and Brandon Coppotelli (1a). The Truman Tigers got scoring from Bruse (1g), Jeremy Ghost (1g) and Sullivan (1g) a defenseman who took a clear coast-to-coast as time was running down and shot a left-handed rocket into the bottom corner of the net as time expired and raised the spirits of the Truman team.
The win puts the Pennsbury Falcons at 16- 2 for the year and 8-2 in the Suburban One National conference, while the Truman Tigers are 2-14 on the year and 0-9 in the Suburban One National conference.
