The Hatters beat visiting Haverford HS Tuesday afternoon 9-3. Pat Downing (4 goals), Jimmy Durkin (2 goals, 1 assist), and Jake Durkin (3 assists) led the Hatters offensively. Trevor Downing (1 assist), Jimmy Murphy, and Kyle Mullen each contributed with 1 goal. Dom Defazio, Tyler Gehlhaus, and Jake Cresta led the Hatters defensively, as Marc Poust was solid in net, recording 12 saves. Steve Palo dominated on face-offs, winning 11 out of 16. Palo and Defazio led the Hatters in ground balls with 8 each. The Hatters will face 12th seeded Penncrest in the 2nd round of the district playoffs, Thursday night at 7:00pm (@ Hatters Stadium).
