New Hope - Solebury Comments
After a tough loss to Springfield on Tuesday the NHS Lions bounced back Wednesday afternoon with an exciting 4/3 Overtime Victory at home. Sophmore Attackman Mitchell Lontchar swept to top center scoring a picture perfect goal to give the Lions the victory.
Malcolm Raupp once again led the Lions with 3 goals. Goalie Leo Fowler was outstanding in Goal with 15 saves. Chris Weisbrot and Brandon Cronce had 10 face off wins between them. Weisbrots key face-off win in OT gave them the ball and Lontchar sealed the win.
Of Lontchar Coach Bruemmer commented, "He works very hard on his shot. He comes early to practice to shoot and works on his craft all the time. It paid off in a big way today! Malcolm Raupp and Mitch work very hard together. I expect Mitch to step into Malcolm's role next year."
Declan Curran was the key to the Lions transition game . Our clearing is simple, Give it to Dec. He's been taking the ball from defense to offense all year. He's unstoppable.
Both Defenses and Goalies were outstanding, keeping the scoring to a minimum.
Every player on our team gave their hearts and souls today. We have a roster of 16 but have been playing at times with as little as 13. There's never any problem with playing time. I ask a lot of our players and they give maximum effort every game. The Lions host non-conference Sun Valley on Saturday.

1st 1/0, 2nd 1/0, 3rd 1/1, 4th 0/2 OT, 1/0
