The New Hope Solebury Lions celebrated Senior Night with a decisive 16/2 victory over the the visiting Tennent Panthers. Senior Captain Malcolm Raupp led the lions with 5 goals to reach the 100 goal milestone. Colin Foster had 3 goals, Mitchell Lontchar and Chris Weisbrot had 2 goals and 1 assist each. Jesse Castellano, Trevor Donohoe, Declan Curran, Lukas Solis each tallied a goal. The stingy Lions defense led by Seniors, Franklin Phillips, Logan Minnucci , Declan Curran and Dimitri Sigrist held the Panthers to 5 shots. Senior Goalie Leo Fowler had 3 saves.
Of Raupps milestone Coach Bruemmer commented, " I've had the pleasure of seeing all of Mal's 100 goals. Not only is he a great scorer, he's a terrific leader and an outstanding young man. The Seniors stepped up and took this game over from the start. This is a special group of Seniors. They were Freshman my 1st year here. It's been a pleasure watching them grow as Lacrosse players and young men.
The Lions travel to Cardinal O'hara for a non-league game on Saturday.
