In a tight defensive Suburban One Continential match up between local
rivals, North Penn
jumped out to a 2-0 lead that held until halftime. North Penn played
tough defense and had strong goaltending from M. Tappen (14 saves).
But the Indians patiently found their way in the scoring column as
J.P. Carroll scored to tie the game 2-2 in the fourth quarter. Bryan
Ziegler(2 goals) than made a great hustle play on a loose ball, then
took a pass and shot with 2:39 to play to take the lead for Souderton
(5-1); (2-1). Grant Nice (17 saves) turned in another solid effort for
Souderton which completed its week of three one-goal victories. (The
other two over Phoenixville and C.B. West.)
