In one of several local games selected to participate in the 12th Annual Play for the A's lacrosse campaign bringing awareness and support to family caregivers of those suffering from Alzheimer's disease, Plymouth Whitemarsh won a close game against host Pennsbury by the score of 10-8. Sophomore Midfielder Jack Cooper led the scoring for the Colonials with 4 goals and an assist. Plymouth Whitemarsh also received 2 goals from Senior Attack Ben Backenstose, and 1 goal a piece from Junior LSM/Defense/FO Isaiah Bainbridge, Junior Attack Scott Marguiles, Sophomore Attack Dylan Ippolito and Sophomore Midfielder Owen Cababe. Junior Attack Caiden Lesczcynski also contributed with 4 assists. The defensive effort was led by Bainbridge with 3 caused turnovers and 5 ground balls. Senior Defenseman Frank Lynch also had 5 ground balls to go along with his 2 caused turnovers and Junior Defensmen Jackson Budin and Chase Welliver contributed to the win with 4 ground balls and 3 ground balls, respectively. Welliver also had a caused turnover. Junior Midfielders Connor Rarrick (1CTO, 1GB) and Luke LaViola (1A, 2CTO, 2GB) were also key to the Colonial's victory. Goalie Mason Best had 9 Saves and 3 ground balls for Plymouth Whitemarsh in what was their sixth consecutive win.
