Plymouth Whitemarsh opened its 2024 league play with a home victory over visiting Upper Moreland. The Colonials offense was well balanced with 5 players contributing to the scoring. Junior Attack Scott Marguiles led the way with 4 goals and an assist. Sophomore Midfielder Jack Cooper and Senior Attack Ben Backenstose each scored a hat trick of their own. Juniors Caiden Lesczcynski and Luke LaViola added two goals from the attack position and one goal from midfield, respectively. For the second straight game, the Colonials were the recipient of an outstanding defensive effort led by Junior LSM/Defenseman Isaiah Bainbridge who had 5 caused turnovers and 5 ground balls, and Senior Defenseman Frank Lynch who had 2 caused turnovers and 4 groundballs. Senior Defenseman Pat McLaughlin contributed with 2 groundballs.
